Shelley Wilson’s first Socio-Political investigation, Body Politic shown at Westminster Reference Library October in 2010 regarding the unprecedented number of 145 MPs stepping down at the 2010 General Election during the ‘Expenses Scandal’ and Chilcot Inquiry, was covered by BBC's David Sillitoe, and broadcasted nationally on TV and Radio.
Her second, ’Operation Pinocchio’ started out as an investigation of the controversial leadership of Boris Johnson and ‘Partygate’ during Lockdown, who subsequently become the first PM in Office to break the Law. However, as you will be aware, in 2022 alone, other scandals; Owen Powell: Neil Parish and Chris Pincher finally brought Johnson down, weeks after a confidence vote; the Sue Gray Report was reported as watered down, and we are still awaiting the Inquiry Report
3t whether the Prime Minster lied to Parliament.
Since January 2022,Wilson gathered daily articles from the Tory newspaper ‘The Daily Telegraph’ on the Prime Minister, Government and Parliament, has inspired her photographic/three-dimensional fine art installation ‘Operation Pinocchio’.
Ideally the ‘Operation Pinocchio’ installation would be shown during the 2022 Conservative Party Conference. Wilson believes this Conference will be more than lively than usual, especially in the Fringe Agenda debates. It is reported that there is much discontent amongst the 160,000 plus Tory Membership, but is this echoed by public opinion? At the time of writing, the public still doesn’t know who has won the hustings/ Sunak or Truss. I understand, constitutionally one doesn’t need to be the Leader of a Party to be PM - could there be another twist in the Johnson story?
Operation Pinocchio installation comprises of:-
